Hi, I'm George.

I inherited a Martin griddle/grill pan with the old hamburger logo. It has a 6 or a 9 on one of the handles, but I don't know how to tell which. Also, the "s" in "Stove" on the logo is backwards. I know that this pan belonged to my father and I remember him having it in the early 60s. Is this piece a collectable item? I'm not looking to sell it as it is an heirloom, but would like to be able to tell my daughters about it.

Thanks for any help.

Hold it handle down at 6:00 o'clock with the cooking facing surface up. Read the number. There are other examples of the backwards S out there so somebody played with a pattern. There is more info on Martin, logo, etc. on this site.

Welcome George H.

I have that same griddle. Yes, it is collectable. I paid $40 for mine about three years ago

Thank you for saying so. Its an heirloom and when I first got it hot I could smell pancakes. Made me think of Dad.
