ohh... a pie logo wagner 3... nice. I assume the 7 is a no notch lodge? I have a couple of those with the raised size... for some reason 7's seem to be more common around here... but they are really nice pans.
Yes, I believe it is a no notch lodge. I've seen some like this that have the lodge logo across the top. I read that Lodge was in the process of merging or buying an existing foundery in their beginning. I would assume that the one's with no logo may have been the earlier pieces. Putting the all through electrolysis right now. The Dutch ovenouts done and in the oven now. Three in the bath getting ready. I appeciate the help I get from the Masters of this art in this forum. Wouldn't know my ass from hole in the ground without them.
See that blemish on the right side of the top of the lid? It's a casting mark and there is a dimple and some Pockets around that as well from the casting. Should I try to eliminate the blemish by lightly sanding it out or leave it? I'm assuming I should leave it being that it's an original mark. Plus I think if I try to remove it it will show up and I would think would probably diminish the authenticity of the piece?
