Re: Lodge acquiring Finex

I have no interest in buying so called high end cast iron cookwear. The quality that lodge puts out is great. It gives a good sturdy non stick surface, and the pans are thick enough to retain heat...

Re: New Lodge Blacklock Line

I care more about function than looks. The regular line works great. I have never had a problem with sticking. The 12 inch skillet, and 10 inch griddle portion of my combo cooker is pretty heavy,...

Re: Lodge 9 DO - My First Dutch Oven

I would call that a steal of a deal. It may have a few minor flaws in it, but it should make a great user.

Re: Rust?

The pan will darken up with use or more layers of seasoning. As for the flash rust, it should come off easily with a little oil on a rag and a bit of rubbing.

Re: Norpro?

I did a quick search. Norpro makes a lot of cookware, most of it is fairly cheap so Asia would be a good guess.

Re: Copco Skillet

Just make sure that no chips are in the cooking area. Enameled cookware is also known as appendicitis pots for a reason.

Re: Cleaning CI with Wood Handles

I would suggest taking off the wood handles. then season as normal.

I would like to get a few vintage pieces of CI to use, but I have a small kitchen and just...

Re: Your Opinion Please

I would suggest Barkeepers friend a nylon scrubber and l lots of elbow grease to try to clean the Magnalite aluminum if the Dawn power dissolver don't work for you.

Re: Wagner #8 with Lid

A pan that spins a little will still cook just fine for many dishes. I have an old Griswold DO that was gave to me a few years ago. It has a small pit on the bottom and it spins a little, but it...
