looks like a pan that was used in colonial america. I have seen these on a site that helps re-enactors use the proper tools ,jas.Townsend and son,inc. Hope I did not hinder the effort. Larry.

No knead bread in a skillet

I use stainless steel spatula with rounded corners for use in all my cast iron skillets. Keeps the skillet bottom smooth. I also use wood spoons for stirring etc.

OK I was surprised as I could be. I had always assumed that I had to cook everything with an already hot pan. I did that always and had to clean out my CI pan,that was always loaded with sticky...

my favorite is my griswold #7.I have to say that this pan is just right for almost everything that I do. It has found a spot a semi-perm on my stove. (whenever my wife does not notice it,that is)....

new 11 inch griddle
just got a 11 inch griddle that is marked with a very large 10 and a very small h near the handle . both marks are on the bottom.anyone have any idea? Larry

What to do after cooking in CI skillet
OK this may be the dumbest question ever posted here,but I am compelled to ask "what do I do to the CI skillet after I use it and clean it?" Should I re-season it or jet wipe it down with crisco...
