Re: Holy Cow! Was Anyone at or Watching the Prices at the Ohio 'airworks' Auction To

It's like watching a Barrett-Jackson car auction......I can't afford any of it but it's fun to watch it go to through the auction block.

Merry Christmas To Me

Just picked up my first camp oven and scallop/crescent bottom Lodge. Both are in decent shape and should clean up well. https://imgur.com/a/kyPUtXw

Re: Columbus Iron Works Grill

Columbus Iron Works Grill

I picked up this Columbus Iron Works grill from a lady that said it was her grandfather's and that he had bought it new in the late 40'/early 50's.
After I drove over an hour to get there I saw...

Re: No Notch Lodge?

It's going to be a while on the pictures. I have my e-tank in a detached garage and have already drained it for the winter. Hopefully I will have a nice big stack to clean in the spring.

Re: Old Wapak

Great find, I have yet to come across a Wapak in the wild. The cook surface looks super smooth.

No Notch Lodge?

What did I buy? I really like old Lodge stuff and am hopeful that this is a early no notch #12. What's throwing me off is the roundness to the assist handle.
I was expecting it to be more squared...

Re: Why I Love Wapaks....

I like my single notch Lodge skillets because, like many, it was the first thing I acquired. Then while researching what I had, people seemed to give them no respect.
It didn't take long to realize...

Another #14

I picked up this skillet from a online auction. The pictures were not very good and from what I could see, everything looked like a crack.:icon_scratchchin:

Re: 3 Notch Martin Hamburger Logo, with Original Label...

Tough call, but I would leave it alone. Without the label it's just another Martin. Cool piece!

Re: Got Lucky This Morning

This is how it turned out after the e-tank and three rounds of Crisco. The pan has obvious issues, but the lid came out quite nice.

Got Lucky This Morning

I was searching Facebook marketplace early this morning and saw a post that had only been up up for 16 minutes. They were asking $30 for a "rusty old pan with a lid". This is what I just got home...

Re: Griswold #7 Slant Logo

I have the #5,8 and 9 so far, and would have gladly paid the $40 for the #7. Not too sure I would have given up that ultra rare Ming dynasty beer tray though.:-D

Re: Chef Skillet BSR?

This one has been a dedicated egg pan. Nothing put bacon grease, butter and grade A extra larges. The cooking surface is mighty slick. https://imgur.com/a/EnFUQcj
