Re: Evapo-Rust

Your article is where I first heard of Evapo-Rust. Although it may seem a bit pricey, the savings in time & labor may make up the difference.

Thanks.

Re: Today's Find

I believe it was an estate type of sale. Looked like someone once owned a small store of some type. Lots of stuff! Some younger kids (20 something?) were cleaning up the property & having a garage...

Today's Find

Went to a few garage/yard sales today. Was beginning to feel like I was going to strike out, but then I found these three items.

As usual, any information and/or comments are welcome.

Thanks.

Empty the Fridge into the sink, wash everything, chop it up & throw it into the pot. Layer Chicken & Bacon on top, then place into a cold oven....

Charles,

May I ask why you strip & re-season the new Lodge pieces?

I now own 5 pieces of modern pre-seasoned Lodge CI that I purchased new. I washed them with warm water, dish soap & a nylon...

Yes. I think it is.

My initiation to Cornbread was my Jr. High cafeteria. Sheet pans were used as much as possible. I wasn't impressed with dry, crumbly, Cornbread that required something to wash...

Saw An Interesting Skillet Today

I saw a CI skillet today like I haven't seen before. No markings that I could see other than two (approx. 1/4" to 3/16") small circles on the underside of the handle where it joins the skillet side....
