Not from the camera, I was thinking maybe cleaned with a copper coated wire wheel. Person insists it is copper coating. Could someone have copper coated it after the fact? Can not convince him...

These are what he has right now.
I think it was painted. But he used a metal polish on it and the patina shows even more.

Woman on Cast Iron Cooking site has a CHF 8.8 Hammered DO. It has a copper colored appearance on the entire thing and also some sing of copper tarnish as well.

Ebay has a hammered Wagner D.O. with a vented lid. Looking in the Red book I do not see a hammered DO with the vented lid. However there is a DO there on page 51 with a vented lid. In the picture...

Thanks! I did not think it would be lodge. Actually have never run into a CI skillet with that assist handle on the opposite end of the pan. Never saw a #16 before either!

I was wondering the same thing about the lid. I think it is a Unmarked Wagner Lid on an old Wagner pot.

Got this pretty baby at an auction. Reminds me of Wagner but really have no clue. Lid says 8A, Bottom of pot 8D. Can someone help me identify it? The lid reminds me of a Wagner Chicken fryer lid....

OK, last two pictures of my pan. Thank you so much for any assistance! I cleaned it up and it is smooth and wonderful pan with a slight wobble but not enough to bother me!
