Re: DO ID

It's still a good user. If you were looking at selling it, I could see the loss.

Re: DO ID

My guess, it looks like a recast. The inside lid looks as if it was buttered over in between the basters. Also, on the bottom where you mentioned that it wasn't a crack, looks like a casting flaw...

Re: Anyone Help Identify Skillet?

Is it a #7 skillet? Does it have a country of origin? As DougD stated, unmarked Wagner probably.

Re: Bundt Pan

You can buy a current Lodge Bundt pan on their website for about the same price without having to strip and re-season. I bought an older Lodge cake pan right before they started making the new ones. ...

Re: Id Fish Fryer/roaster

It's a BS&R deep fish fryer and lid. Lodge did continue making them after BS&R sold their patents and molds to Lodge. If it doesn't say made in the USA, it is BS&R. I don't see it on the piece.

Re: Carbon Steel wok

Thanks. Time to empty my lye tank.

It is The Palm Restaurant branded. Looks just like the Ecolution wok.

Re: Iron Mountain DO & Cover

Iron Mountain lids were now screwed in. They had a loop handle.

---------- Post added at 02:00 PM ---------- Previous post was at 01:57 PM ----------

They also had drip basters on the lids.

Re: Carbon Steel wok

It is coming off in sheets from the back primarily. The bottom started cleaning up in the lye first, without any scrubbing.

Carbon Steel wok

I bought a used 8" carbon steel wok from a local Goodwill for the cheap. It has been in the lye for 3 days. Why is it not coming very clean? Is it because there is only carbon left? The inside bottom...

Re: My New #3

These are the 3S skillets that I have. If you notice in the 3-S, the heat ring is crooked. The 3-X-S appears to be a more modern piece....

Ingenious. Didn't think of that. I thought a toaster oven might have been used lol.

Re: Today's CI Finds

Small dinner bread rolls is what you could use it for. Small cakes, muffins. I have one. It's a Wagner D 1327 New England Style pan. I make small cakes with mine.

Potato skins would work also....

Re: 14in BSR CAMPING OVEN

I personally wouldn't pay too much more than a new 14 in oven (10-12% more). Do you collect BS&R?

Re: Griswold 16 Griddle

I would doubt that #16 griddle was very common. I could be wrong since families were much larger back then, but I don't see many pieces larger than a #12.

Great find though. I'm jealous ;)

Re: Breadstick/cornstick pan help needed

I agree. I've become selective on my pieces also. I have many bread pans and really don't need another like it. But, if it was worth it, I would buy it.

Breadstick/cornstick pan help needed

I found this pan, similar to a Griswold #22, in an antique thrift store. It is unmarked. The handle is different than anything I've seen listed on the site except for a Favorite Piqua Ware version...
