A Really Marked Lodge Skillet

I've come across a few of these skillets marked like this. Is there any significance to all the letters? It looks like a whole crew might have put their marks on the pattern and wondering about the...

Re: Grooved Handle Griswolds

Thanks for your thoughts. I'm thinking this is a question that could be answered by researching Griswold catalogs, to see when the line was first offered and then no longer offered. Not surprising,...

Grooved Handle Griswolds

Can anyone tell me if there's a narrower date line for the grooved handle style skillets than the 1944-1957 range? I think I read of a shorter production period, but can't remember what it was or...

Re: An Interesting Tite Top Cover

Yes, I think it's a strange one. Wondering if it started out as a Griswold, as to the Tite Top markings, but don't understand the handle and the eagle. The bottom is smooth with no markings. It'll...

An Interesting Tite Top Cover

A neighbor has this cover and gave me this one picture. There aren't any other markings on it and the handle is quite long. It's a pretty good quality casting. I don't have any measurements on it. ...

Re: Vienna Roll Pan

Hey, thanks for the quick responses. Well, I'm embarrassed, as I have the books, and never thought to look. Just assumed the pan was from a little known manufacturer. Looking on pg 82 of the Red...

Vienna Roll Pan

https://i.imgur.com/QNdNEJYm.jpg,https://i.imgur.com/wRS46Pnm.jpg

Any thoughts as to the maker of this Vienna Roll pan? Besides the "No. 6" and "I", there's a faint "H" before the I. It...

Re: Wagner Bailed Griddle

Here's my offering, 1910 to 1930s I think? Makes a great pizza pan.

Re: 3 That Need Identifying Please

Jenna, I also have a waffle iron similar to yours, but without the benefit of a base. Fellow member Scott McCarrick also has one. He posted a query about it on the Facebook page The Iron Works!...

Re: Wagner/Chili Society

Thanks for the lead, Edgar. I looked it all over, especially their History page, but couldn't find anything relating to the "Chili Kit" or my cover.

Re: Wagner/Chili Society

So, can anyone help me out with some info on this cover? I can't find anything on it at all on Google and the Int'l Chili Society hasn't responded to two requests. I'm assuming this was a limited...

Unmarked Deep Skillet/cover

I'd appreciate any thoughts on who might have made this skillet and cover. Neither has a mark anywhere, except for a "1" on the bottom of the skillet handle. They came together about six months...

Wagner/Chili Society

Does anyone have any info on this Wagner DO cover? The International Chili Society was founded in 1967. The cover came on an unmarked Wagner DO with "Made in USA" on it, so we have a time period. ...

A Sweet Heart of a Pan

I just acquired this little beauty. It's 8" in diameter and 11 1/2" long. The heat ring is 6 5/8" in diameter. It has quite a heavy gate mark. It wasn't at a give-away price, but I couldn't leave it...

Re: Bread Pan Made in New Hampshire

I've got a few dozen french roll pans and two of them look just like yours, but they're unmarked. They must have been a hot item in Maine in their day, as we see them everywhere, generally unmarked....

Squareg Frying Pan

Here's a what I think is a curious pan. Not sure what it would be used for, as the very shallow sections are just 3 1/8" square. Our foundry database says there's also a No.1 and a No.2, which I...

Cast Metal Service

Here's what I think is a cute little square skillet. It's 5 1/2" across with good clean lines. I can't find any info on it and would appreciate your thoughts as to maker.

Re: Plymouth Foundry Kettle

Sorry, late night posting. The 1866 date is on the bottom (inside) of the lid. The kettle has found a new home, but I recall it reading "Pat'd 1866".

Re: Plymouth Foundry Kettle

Doug, yes. Mid 1870s to 1900s or so anyway, right? I forgot to say that the cover had a patent year (only) on it of 1866.

Plymouth Foundry Kettle

Here's an early water kettle I've restored. It was in great condition to start with, for being used as a stove top humidifier (judging from the scale and build-up inside it). I decided not to do...

Lodge Wildlife Series

Over the last few months, I've acquired a set of one each of the four #8 skillets. Of the bass, deer, duck and dog, does any one stand out as the more desirable or harder to find?

Re: Sussex Flea Market Finds

Well Eldon, what a great assortment of pans, with one-stop shopping!

The pot with the cover looks a lot like a Noyes & Nutter (Bangor, Maine) bean pot to me. They aren't marked and we base our...

Re: Griswold Square Egg Skillets

Thanks for the info. My observations were based on a limited sampling of 8 skillets I just bought. What's the earliest you think these were made? Before 1944? I've just acquired a 1941 Griswold...
