Wagner Dutch Oven Age

Curious if anyone knows if Wagner Dutch Ovens from the 1890s to 1910's era always had a heat ring? My dutch oven seems to fit all descriptions of an oven from that era, but it does not have a heat ring. Curious if the absence of the heat ring definitively puts it into another age range. Thansk in advance!

I can't recall a Wagner DO with a heat ring. The very early ones have a rather abrupt angle of transition from the sidewalls to the bottom, unlike the later rounded profile. Other Wagner kettles like the maslin had heat rings, so I wonder if it's an actual DO you're thinking of.

Doug - Your pics are very helpful, and mine seems to have that very abrupt angle of transition from the sidewalls to the bottom, with very straight up and down sides, instead of the more rounded ones. It's definitely a DO. Looks almost exactly like your first pic, with Wagner in block letters that are curved and not straight with quotation marks around it, and then Sidney, in straight block letters below that with an O beneath that. So i am thinking it is likely that generation of 1890s to 1910's. Thanks again!
