Actually a BSR, from their early automation period, early 1950s.

I’m pretty new to cast iron Doug. I did a quick google search and found the Wagner info.
So please tell me how to tell it’s a BSR….

I would say due to the handle, and the inset heat ring. Im not up to date on BSR tho.

With very few exceptions, Wagner did not do inset heat rings. Their #3 skillets, marked or unmarked, were also all smooth-bottomed. They were also pretty good about centering their size numbers, and their pattern letters are smaller than the size number. With BSR, the telltale characteristics are the inset heat ring and the shape of the ridge on the underside of the handle.
