So I got impatient waiting to clear out the lye tank for my grill and decided to put it to work!

Tried out my cornbread pan too, should have been more patient but now I know!

Lloyd I have found that things like cornbread, waffles, etc tend to stick more during the first cook after initial seasoning. Hang in there and your patience will be rewarded. Did you pre heat your cornbread pan?

Looks delicious! Cornbread pans can be a pain to clean if the bread doesn't pop out right. I good stiff brush will do the trick. Lodge sells one on their website that I've been wanting to get.

I was wondering the same thing. Pre-heating and greasing it are critical.

Yeah, I had some pretty good seasoning, pre-heated and oiled. The bread didn't stick at all but they fell apart; needed a few more minutes in the oven. Everyone loved the chicken and cornbread that I used my cast iron to cook. If I had my DO ready I could have completed the whole meal with CI!
