Skillet ID/ Mold Repair.

Just finished cleaning this one up. I’m thinking this is an unmarked Vollrath based on the handle and heat ring in addition to the marking on the bottom being in the center. Also the handle on this one is interesting. Is this a mold repair ? If you look at the mold line and the 8 on top of the handle the top quarter of the 8 is slightly smaller than the bottom part… the handle on the bottom is a perfect transition and the line does not appear there. Technically speaking, it would be a repair to the pattern. There was probably originally a fill material in that seam that eroded away from repeated mold-making.
 
Thank you Doug. Do you agree that it is most likely a Vollrath based on the characteristics? I’m not interested in reselling I just like to be able to tell their story. TY
