Old Chicken Fryer

Again forgive the picture, this is the Fryer that takes a #8 1/2 lid like a glove. The bottom has no marks whatsoever, and has the outer heat ring. What does seem unique is the handle, all I can think of about it to go on. Any idea as to age and maker?

Unmarked Wagner-made. 1920s-30s.

I thought that handle would tell the tale. I would've thought pre 1920 myself from the heat ring.

These came in heat ring and smooth-bottomed versions with the same handle. Some makers produced outside heat ring pieces up to the 1950s, Vollrath comes to mind.

My #10 Vollrath has a name, the #3 and #7 don't, does the name on it help date it any? And I'm sure glad I found this forum, it's been a treasurehouse of info. Did you see the broiler skillet I posted, any idea on that?

AFAIK, Vollrath made both marked and unmarked pieces in the same time frame.
