Lodge #12

Picked up my first #12 skillet today for $17!

It's a Lodge Made In USA so I assume it was manufactured after 1960. It does not have the Lodge logo so I believe it was made before about 1987.

It has an "assist tab" opposite the handle. I saw some on eBay without the tab and I am guessing they are older. Anyone have a clue as to when Lodge added the tab?

Also, what is the approximate value?

Thanks!

Photos would be great.

Lodge has had logos on their products on and off throughout their history. Just different logos.

The assist tab isn't a new invention, they've been around forever. They were mostly used on larger pans to help lift the pan off of the stove, and on dutch ovens to help you tip the pot to pour out the contents.

What did you pay for it?
If this looks anything like yours, I'd say about $40.
