Not all new things are better...I really like CI.

For forty plus years I hadn't had fried eggs that were crispy on the edges and poached on the top. But now I can make them just like grandma did. Two eggs in my #3 griswold comes out perfectly round, and crispy on the edge and bottom.
 
Stephen, I wish I could remember more of my great grandmas cooking and the way she cooked. Unfortunately her and my grandmother both passed on in the 1970's when I was young. Not much time in the kitchen then when I was that young, but boy I remember the holiday meals. Always wild game added to the mix. My grandfather and great uncles still hunted then and when they passed so did the hunting in the family.
