Is this Griswold a counterfeit?

I saw this Griswold at Goodwill and wonder if it's legit. I've never seen a Griswold with this type of handle.
Any help would be appreciated.

Most certainly counterfeit, but exactly when made hard to say. Although the crispness of the logo is enough to make one look twice. The general "feel" of the casting points to being an import, probably 1980s.
