Help with un-marked kettle

Can anyone help with the identification of this (mfg. and era)? No markings that I can find. Smooth bottom, no assist tab or handle or ring. Only clues I can come up with are the shape of the ends of the handle and where the handle attaches. To my newbie eyes, the connection point is similar in shape to the "ERIE" yankee bowl I have, but the casting is not quite as precise. 9 3/8" across the top (inside diameter), and 6 3/16" tall.

I don't recognize the pot but the ears are like Griswold used. Can't be Griswold with no pattern numbers or similarity to cataloged items.
