Hello,

I saved this skillet from the local recycling yard. I think it turned out well. Cooked with it yesterday. Check out the before and after photos.

Any idea as to the time period for this skillet, possibly the manufacturer?

Any feedback is appreciated.

Thanks,
Henry

A recast made from a 5th series Erie skillet. You can see the ghost at 12 o'clock. Could have been made any time after the skillet used for the pattern was cast, so generally after 1907.

Scott,

Thank you. I use the electrolysis process to clean them. I have used electrolysis on quite a few pieces and it works great.

I'm working on an old Birmingham skillet now. See photos. Unfortunately, it has a fair amount of pitting on the bottom. This one was at the recycling center as well. It still needs work, it's back in the electrolysis tank now.

Thanks,
Henry
