Help with ID

I just found a #7 skillet, very fine casting (unfortunately with heavy pitting on the bottom), with:

raised 7 on top of handle
raise molder's mark "F" at 6 o'clock, but rotated 90 degrees c.clockwise
inset heat ring with single notch at 12 o'clock
no size number on the bottom

seems thinner and lighter than any of the single or 3 notch Lodges I have seen (that hasn't been a lot though, maybe couple dozen), with reasonably big ears.

So what era is this? If it is indeed a Lodge, is it a 1900-1910 with an early inset heat ring, a 1910-1930 without the "LODGE", or a 1930's vintage with a lingering raised size # on the handle? Or maybe something else all together?

Sure looks like a Lodge to me. I'd wager a guess somewhere in the 1910-1930 range, with absolutely nothing to back that up with :)

Yeah, has traits from different periods, but I'm thinking 1930's. It has a really nice feel to it, not unlike a lighter pan similar to a Griswold when you pick it up.

I ran across a #8 single notch Lodge recently and it must have been from the latter part of the single notch era. The pour spouts were not nearly as large and nice as the ones on the piece you posted above, and the casting was a bit thicker. Somewhere in between yours and what you'd expect from the 3-notch ones.
