Would anyone be able to tell me anything about this piece. Origin? Age? Do the Markings i0 mean anything? And the little number 8 on the lid? Found at goodwill

More likely the number 10 than letters I and O. The typical assumption for a small, raised letter or number like the 8 would be a molder's mark, used to tally foundrymen's pay for piece work. The raised bumps at left and above the 10 on the bottom of the pot might be similarly intentional. Little chance of a maker ID, but probably made sometime ca. mid-19th century (bottom gating), and possibly European (loop handles rather than a bail, cover design).
