Gate Marked 12 lid??

Have not been able to find photos like this lid??

Somewhat crude, rough casting marks, gatemarked inside lid


Would like to identify maker and get approximately age.

Bottom gated pieces with no maker name on them are rarely if ever identifiable. The handle style on this one and the raised numeral and its font tend to suggest early to mid-19th century.

Thanks Doug! Old is good enough....fits one of my ovens,so will get used occasionally.
