I am about to start a teardown and refinishing a rusty enterprise press. I am trying to figure out if I should paint the non-food contact surfaces or season the entire press?
If I paint, do I need to use a high temp paint so no issue when baking in the oven after use to reseason the interior?
If I season the entire thing, am I risking rust in the future because it will be rarely used like a cast iron skillet so you could say parts of it would never be seasoned again.
