Chicken Fryer ID

I'm struggling to figure this one out. Roughly a size 8 chicken fryer, essentially the same size as my CHF Favorite that is marked 8 1/2. This one is completely void of any marking and the handle hole is not standard. Southern mystery skillet?

It's Wagner, shown on RB pg. 28. "Sold through outlet stores." They made a few pieces with a similar round handle hole.

I have one that is very similar, but is smooth bottom (no heat ring). Was this one produced latter than the ones with heat rings?
