BSR? for the longest time I thought this was a BSR

But someone who refurbishes cast iron and knows a good deal more than me questioned that because of the handle. It does not have that traditional peaked underside, which is true as it is more rounded. It also has a single dot on the handle and the text and number type face does not match what I have seen in other BSR. he thought it might be an old unmarked lodge or possibly a Birdsboro.

Most at a quick glance would probably also say BSR, but even with the minor variations seen in BSR handles, I'd say probably not on this one. Birdsboro doesn't really fit, either. Definitely not Lodge.

The ones sold and likely manufactured at Birdsboro typically have no heat ring and have a letter in the 6 o clock position. The chicken fryer has a heat ring but is an 8. The underside of the Birdsboro handle is like a Wagner without the shelf, so that's totally different as well.
