I got this as part of a small lot of rusty cast iron recently. The rest I could identify fairly easy with the information I found here. This one however I am having a difficult time finding one that looks like it, or any information on it. Is that considered a gate mark on the back? It seems unusual that the front has an 8 but the back has a 3, could this be a casting oops? I have cleaned it up and will be having it as a display piece just because its unique to me, although I am sure it would still cook just fine.
I know many pieces were not marked with the manufacturer years ago so I may never know who made it, I am just curious on anything I can find out about it.
