Another mystery! ID?

This pan was, according to my grandmother, originally my great-grandmother’s. The lid has been with it as long as she can remember, but there's always a chance it was added somewhere along the way. Any ID guesses would be great.

An unmarked deep skillet set made by Wagner for sale in outlet and hardware stores. The RB does not show the underside of the cover but notes the X, and places it 1920s-30s.
