Last fall I was out mushroom hunting on a remote ridge and stumbled onto an old campsite out in the woods. While poking around a collapsed lean-to I found a cast iron frying pan. I brought it home and over the weekend cleaned the rust off it until i could identify it as a stylised Wagner Ware #6.
I also found a crack under the rust, but through the identifying and history I was bitten badly by the bug.
I've been hitting local thrift stores and antique malls ever since.
I've really become interested in the baking cast iron and using it as often as possible.
See you around the forums!
