WAPAK 9 Cast Iron Skillet?

Hi, extremely new but went to an estate sale and bought what I had hoped was a WAPAK block 9 skillet. However, I find a "pour bump" possibly on the bottm, and the W's middle does not come all the way up to the top. I have attached a sample jpg, anyone seen this before?

Thank you so much,

Chris

Looks like a Wapak logo to me. Dont worry about imperfections on a Wapak, casue most have something wrong with them. Thats why I love em....lol. :icon_thumbsup:

The bump could be a flaw in the mold, or it could be an air bubble or something. I personally wouldnt worry. Hope you share pics! Wapaks are known for castings that were " sub par " due to using the old ones from different foundries. To me, every Wapak is unique, compared to the other main brands, but thats just me.

Sean, well crud, I had attachments on both of my posts, let me try again

Is it a skillet or a dutch oven or bean pot? Some had 3 legs.....maybe yours is just a rarity.
