Default Will a Cracked Skillet Still Have a Distinct Beautiful Ring Tone?

I have a skillet that has a distinct beautiful ring tone when I fingernail snap it,yet it has a very fine "hairline" 3 inch long crack on the cooking surface about 2 inches below 12:00. I thought that wasn't likely.

While the test is subjective at best, it's probably more about far more-common cracks on skillet sidewalls.

I have a #9 Erie skillet with a small crack in it by the handle, but it rings real nice. It may depend on the depth, length of the crack, but Im not sure.
