What Does This Hand Mean?

I’ve inherited an old pot, reportedly from Ireland, and it has this hand on it. I was wondering if anyone knows what the hand means? I searched and perused the FAQ and couldn’t find it previously asked, but if I missed it I apologize and I would be happy to be redirected. I included some extra photos in case context helps.

Maybe that hand is a kings crown kinda thing? It does look like a hand tho.

Thanks! It’s not a great photo but I can definitely feel when I touch it that it is a whole hand. And there are letters as well that I believe say “CAL” or possibly “GAL” if that helps?

wouldn't surprise me for the irish to mark it with a hand with 5 fingers... would need to see other sizes from the same maker to see if they used that identifier for all of them.

Someone else posted something about a 'gal' or 'gall' CI from Europe. Search for that in the same forum you may get more info.
