Default New to the Forum from NW Georgia

Hi All:

I have used cast iron for cooking all my cooking life. I recently started stripping our old hand me down cast iron and realized that we have some stuff that may be collectable. I found this forum when trying to figure our how old our cast iron is.

We regularly use our dozen or so cast iron pots, pans, and dutch ovens.

After stripping all our old cooking stuff down in Lye we realize that we have a mix of Lodge, Wagner, BSR and one odd piece of Korean CI my dad found rusted in his yard. Ha Ha

About half of our skillets and our Dutch Oven were inherited from our grandparents. We cook with everything. My grandmas old #5 Wagnerware and unmarked Wagner #8 are my favorites.

I am here to learn what to look for and have a little fun doing research.
