Griswold Gate Mark #7 ?

This is my first time posting pics so please bear with me if it is not correct. I found this gate marked #7 skillet and when it came out of the lye tank there were markings on it. It looks like Griswold, and Erie (in big letters) but very faint. There is a raised 7 on the top of the handle. It is lightweight, sits flat, and does not spin but is pitted and old looking. Can anyone give me any history on it? Thanks in advance.

A recast using a Griswold's Erie skillet as a pattern. The raised 7 on top of the handle would not have been on the original skillet.
