Unmarked Wagner restoration

My dad gave me this skillet about 5 years ago and I didn't do a great job of cleaning it before reasoning. This lead to many cycles of poor seasoning because I never striped it all the way.

I finally got around to stripping it with oven cleaner for a week and getting it down to bare iron. I seasoned it with 8 coats of flaxseed oil at 500 degrees for 1 hour each. I am super happy with the results! It has a very nice hard and nonstick coating.

I should add, the season on the sides of the skillet seemed excellent! However, the bottom was flaking and really uneven. That's why I striped it.

Nice work Anthony. It's always satisfying to take something that people wouldn't look twice at and give it a good cleaning and turn it into something that looks amazing.

Thank All!

The milling marks really are pretty cool! Unfortunately, i'm having some issues with the seasoning flaking off (posted in another thread).
