Hi: was trying to track down hinged frying pan (lid was only 2/12-3” deep) and bottom about 41/2-5.” Found this site and found it fascinating. Will continue search but I enjoy the history of cast iron and it’s uses. Can’t make a great pineapple upside down cake in anything but a iron skillet. I love cooking with cast iron. Best memory: my father, brother, and I parked on island in Canada and cooking fresh fillets of walleye in 14 inch fryer we always kept in bag with ziplock bag of flour/corn meal and a can of Crisco. Golden fillets and slice of bread. I’m sure many on this site have cast iron pot, pan, kettle memories. I’m not a collector of rare pieces of cast iron but more inclined to appreciate personal stories we cherish—cast iron memories.
