Griswold Dutch Oven #8

Do they make these with 3 legs? A friend of mine picked up one today and I can't find any pictures of one outside of the one she sent me.

Yes, they did. Dutch ovens with legs and heavy, rimmed lids are usually called camp ovens, or less often, country ovens or something similar.

See picture. I'm trying to get a rough estimate of worth for her.

Just got the pics and she informed me she paid $15 for the pieces, man she got a hell of a deal.

The lid is also Griswold, but from their unmarked Iron Mountain line. A lid original to the pot would be flat, thick, and have a rim to contain hot coals placed atop it. From what can be seen, the trivet appears to also be Griswold, but would not have been supplied with a camp oven. The bail handle is also missing.

Although it's a mismatched set the way I see it, she bought the trivet for a good price and got the lid and DO free.
