Any Additional Info on This Piece?

Found this CI at a very, very small antique store a few years back and took it home to clean. You can tell I had no idea what I was doing when I tried to re-season it. Despite my efforts it cooks nice and the small interior pitting doesn't seem to affect it much. What I am curious about is the history behind the name (interesting that the "S" looks off) and why it looks hammered or something around the outside edges. Would like an idea of the age too.

For what it is worth I found it down here in McDonough, GA.

I have another I will post in next few days that looks newer with no brand name.

Thanks for any help,

Looks like someone used a Griswold (by the shape of the 5) to make a pattern, but with a little more skill than a simple recast.

No idea on the Jones, but it hasn't been hammered around the edges. It, along with the other picks and pocks, is just casting flaws.
