My Recent Haul

is the little favorite enameled or just slathered in oil? (I've seen them enameled and just bare iron).

I've seen one of these in a kind of brownish almost woodgrain looking enamel... and if in good condition is probably worth more than the bare iron one... but this one might benefit from removing the remaining enamel, given all the chipping and missing bits. I've heard of people using a 'blasting cabinet' or sandblaster, but I'm not sure what kind of media they use that is hard enough to remove the enamel, but not so hard that it affects the iron... and that would be very important... you don't want to hurt this lil' guy.

nice pick-up, i just found the same favorite puritan #9 and it wobbles also but it's light weight and cooking surface is like glass
