Looks like BSR....

Anyone recognize this pan?
It looks like a BSR except for the flat spot under the handle next to the pan wall.

Thanks,
C.J.

Thanks Jack.

I thought all BSRs had a ridge under the handle that went all the way to the pan.

Any idea when it was made?
It has bigger pore spouts then my later BSR pan.

Thanks,

C.J.

Could it be a copy? The handle isn't right, like you thought C.J., but everything else does say BSR. It's pre-1960 so the handle ridge should go to the body of the pan.

That was my thoughts DSBradley.

If it is a copy, it is an excellent one. The casting is every bit as good as my REAL BSR in my second post.

Scott here. Here's a picture of mine that I took for another thread but I'll post here too. The Numbers and Letters also seem higher on the pan in your first post. On your second post, they are where they should be.

Do I remember someone saying the flat spots on the handle were Wagner or when BSR subbed out some work to Lodge? Something.
