Found this today in my travels. it was practically free, so I couldn't help myself.
the handle angles slightly upward, there is one notch in the handle near the pan. it is quite large for a chicken fryer. no markings on the bottom

I also don't have any ideas... it seems like a high quality casting... very well made... just not sure about that outside heat ring... a lot of the chicken fryers were smooth bottom (no heat ring)... the small rib on the handle reminds me of some early wagner/nationals that I've seen.
