Peerless 2 Burner

Picked one up the other day for $35. It came with an empty propane tank. It was missing a handle from the gas valve but I happen to have one from a previously botched idea. Anyways, the piece is straight and relatively clean. I wire brushed it and gave it a coat of BBQ black. Everything was moving along nice, but I got held up trying to find a hose that fits the main supply line. Anyone have any experience with this? Or possibly a manual of any sort for these camp stoves?

Should be able to pick up the fittings at any hardware store or RV place as they're all quite common pieces.

Not sure how the folks before me hooked it up, but I was able to get the proprietary nut off the inlet tube. It was crusted on pretty good. After that it was quick work at the hardware store to find the right adapter. Works pretty good. Took the wok outside and did a quick stir fry. I'll try to post some picks.

Looks like you need to adjust your air shutters on your burners. Those flames are way too tall and way too yellow. The flames should be short and blue with just a hint of yellow at the ends like you'd see on a gas stove.

Glad you were able to find the parts you needed. Good looking burner!

Thanks, yeah, that's next order of buisiness. The air intakes are both super stuck. Had to make sure it worked. Good project for the winter.

The air intakes are both super stuck.

Are the intake covers or the screws stuck. I'm sure you realize the screws need loosened before trying to turn the covers. I've disassembled and refinished several of these stoves and those screws are usually the easiest to remove.

I pulled the screws on the initial cleaning but didn't get the cover to turn. Since I hadn't seen one of these actually used, I didn't want to get too deep before knowing if I could make fire.
