I have become interested in older cast iron after using newer Lodge cast iron for ~3 decades. The old Lodge cast iron I remember as a farm kid just isn't the same today. It's not that it is bad or anything, mainly just different from what I remember. I like the Nostalgia factor of cast iron that is older than I am too!

I should note that I also have and use some Le Creuset and Staub enameled cast iron and really like De Buyer 'elemental' iron pans and recently picked up a Mafter skillet.
 
Hello and welcome to the forums! You will find any information you need on here if you look around. I too like older cast iron over newer due to a few factors, as most on here do too. My favorite maker is Wapak. Anyways, welcome, and Happy Hunting!
