Rooto "Professional Liquid Drain Opener" is sulfuric acid based, and is not the product referred to here or on the website.

Rooto "Household 100% Lye Drain Opener" is a crystal product. Warnings on the back panel state it contains "Sodium Hydroxide (Caustic Soda,Lye)".

Realize this is an old post thus the link I'm attaching may or may not be of any use. Since (Lye) is a key ingredient used in making paper from wood pulp I would think there would be some sort of distributor in Canada that carries this product. Whether or not you can obtain it there may or may not be possible.
Just thinking outside the box.
