Griswold and Gate Marks

Was going through the BB and see a repro regular Erie skillet at the bottom left of page 15 with the following comment: "Note: This skillet with the bottom gate mark is not consistent with Griswold technology. An ERIE skillet was used as a pattern for this copy."

Question, Do any Griswold skillets have bottom gate marks? If so which logos have them?
 
no, there shouldn't be any 'griswold' marked skillets with gate marks... there are some out there but they are assumed to be recasts made using a griswold skillet to make the pattern... there are some early gem pans made by griswold that are known to have gatemarks though.
 
I saw a Griswold gated skillet the other day at a flea market for $75. Then I remembered it was a recast. There was that brief moment though....
