Default 20" Skillet

I've posted this in a few places but thought you might enjoy it here, as well. I came across this huge 20" skillet the other day. Often referred to as a "prison" or "penitentiary" skillet, this guy is a monster. 35lbs and 27+ inches from assist tab end to handle end. 22+ inches across.

The plan is to build a bigger e-tank but I couldn't wait and used Easy-Off and a black bag. I hope to have it restored in the next couple weeks as time allows.

My end goal is to use this at big family parties and make myself feel good by getting some "oohs and ahhs"

I don't think they were made in prisons at all, from what I have read. I believe that they were a southern casting.

Yeah, it is HUGE. I have almost stripped it with EasyOff, but not totally, yet.
