Vollrath Smooth Bottom

They exist, but are apparently quite uncommon. One would have to guess they were produced around the same time other major makers moved away from heat rings to primarily smooth bottom skillets, ca. mid-1930s.

FYI. Here it is.

Looked at the RB again. Based upon the pictures provided, Vollrath went to the "underlined number" on the bottom of CI in 50s. There are no pictures of smoothed bottom pieces, but I think it is logical to conclude this occurred even later after Vollrath started the "underlined size". Since Vollrath exited CI in the 60s, think it is also reasonable to conclude there are fewer of the smooth bottom pieces than their heat ringed counterparts.

Any thoughts about the relative value?
