Thick heat ring griswold erie

There is a pan on ebay that seems like it doesn't fit what i've seen other griswold slant erie pans.

I've not seen that wide ring on anything else I've looked at except the fat free fryer. Is that a sign that the pan isn't authentic?

Of you look closely, at 9 and 4 o'clock, the heat ring is of a normal width, but visibly either worn down from use or was not all that distinct on the pattern. You can also see the ghost of the earlier "Griswold's Erie" TM.

I noticed that, but when I look at the image that shows the flat edge against the bottom, I see a distinct gap across most of the center. I see what you mean though, if I look at other 11 skillets, that have that inset heat ring, it appears the side-wall comes down further than the center.
