My mother has dozens of trivets hanging on the wall next to and behind the wood stove in the house. She gave me my pick ... I chose this one, a Griswold Trivet No. 1903. It's been painted black. I think I'll leave it as it is for now.
Searching on Ebay and Amazon, I see several old and new look-a-likes to this Griswold but none with the Griswold name on the back. Are they common or hard to come by?
The BB dates them all 1950s, relatively late in the Griswold timeline. More non-Griswold ones seen than those that are, probably because they were so easy to knock off. I'm not really sure if the designs are even original to Griswold.
