Default Help ID #8

Any one have an idea on this one? #8, side gated, reinforcing pad ribbed handle, out side heat ring with what looks like a G D or 6 D on the underside of the handle. Smooth on the inside but the bottom is rippled.

I see these pretty regularly in my area... appear to be erie copies... but they always have the two letters on either side of the rib on the bottom of the handle. I've seen them in sizes 7 and 8... with 8 being much more common. I assume the letters were molder's marks... as they seem to always be different on the various pans I've seen.

This is the 1st one I've ever seen. I thought maybe the letters were abbreviations for a company or mold/ makers marks. For 5 dollars i figured i could clean it and make a few bucks.
