Early/late Handle Griswolds

Wondering about the time frame that early handle style Griswolds were made. The Blue Book (pg 13) shows the early handle style as 1939-1944, but with a heat ring. I see many, but with a smooth bottom. Both in the same time period, or did the early handle morph into the late handle in the 1944-1957 period?

Thanks for helping me get a handle on this…(sad attempt at humor).

Poorly placed typesetting. The (with heat ring) is only referring to the size 12 skillet. There are no 3-10 SBL with heat rings.

AH, that would explain why I've never seen any. A couple of years of buying and selling and it only occurs to me now to ask this question…Thanks for the quick response.

The early/late/grooved handle variation applies only to Small Block Logo skillets. Once Griswold pattern numbers were locked to a particular style and size of pan (during the Erie skillet period), revisions like TM, heat ring/smooth bottom, handle design had no effect on them.
